Title is misleading - the analysis in the interview is about Canadian stocks, not the Canadian economy. I'd expect Bloomberg to understand that stock market performance and wider economic performance are not always correlated.

Thank you for your videos mate.... With Trump's presidency, economic shifts are expected to be significant, especially given the current recession and the potential impact of future rate cuts. Although rate cuts might not boost inflation as hoped, they may lead banks to further restrict consumer and corporate lending, contributing to a deflationary period for various assets. This environment could result in declining stock values, retail and housing sales, and rising unemployment due to layoffs. For investors, a diversified portfolio especially with stocks and cryptocurrencies offers some protection, serving as a hedge amid volatility. Both long- and short-term trading strategies can help manage risks, providing stability as markets adjust. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 130k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Aria Cookings Crypto, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape..

Good recommendations given low valuations of Canadian equities.

"Any increase in the price of gold should go directly to the bottom line." That's an obfuscation or a failure to understand how corporate management actually works. The first people who get paid are the ones who sign the checks. It's better to own gold directly since the gold price goes to gold revenues, while gold stocks depend on gold company profits. And gold company profits depend on how much management wants to let slip out their own hands.

I think I will wait for several months after January 20 before I decide which financial forecasts make any sense at all.

This Canadian knows that Canada is not fragile. Even if Trump carries out his threat of tariffs, we'll be okay.

Not one investment portfolio manager will tell you to get out of stocks or funds that contain stocks, not once, not ever because this is how they get paid whether the market goes up or down. .

The Canadian economy depends on real estate and Government spending (taxpayers). With all categories added, the Canadian Government brings 1-2 million newcomers every year to keep both going. The US economy is ten times bigger, more diverse, and receives the highest investment in relevant sectors. They do have plenty of minimum wage jobs for their youth.
Also, Energy makes up 37% of Canada's exports. The majority of it goes to the US. If they don't do well, Canada will also struggle.

What company would you invest? NVDIA or BCE? One doing 55% earning, the other non profitable...

As someone who has lived and worked in both countries the past 5 years, there is no comparison. Not in the same league economy wise.

Until Trudeau is gone we might as well switch to pesos

My concern is that a lot of the easier picks are ones that benefit from rent-seeking, which means that they're at risk if the next government has any actual sense of what's good for the Canadian economy.

But you're not factoring in the 25% tariffs coming for Canada in 2025. 80% of their trade depends on US exports. Not that we're picking on Canada, we're putting tariffs on everyone to force the things we buy to be made in the US once again.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274, 800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

The audio and visual don't match. It's like a good ai video or a bad lip syncing. But thank you for the update on stocks.

Yep and in other breaking news, Aliens have abducted Easter Bunnies and unraveled a plot that they are controlling humans.
The headlines are on equal footing for how serious they are 🤣
