Thanks for the review. For those who don't know, local boys like you are big and strong. For you to say a tool is heavy, it is beyond heavy for the average person. Please keep testing sanders as there are very little hands on tests like yours. Perhaps your local union will give you a monetary allotment to test what is currently on the market. As you know, there is a night and day difference between a level 5 finish and a textured finish. The same theory applies to the tools used for each finish. Again, thanks for the review. When you use a tool that causes raging pain in your ears, neck, shoulders in only a short period of time, get rid of it as fast as you can. It will prolong your career.

Good videos always, thx for sharing. Personally, i preffer festool, mine has three indual short poles which can be put together to reach higher-i am really not good at using stilts and i have a very bad lower back as a result of hanging too many plasterboards in a bad body positon habbit.
However, i am more interested in the led light pole sander you have in this video, may i know if you made it yourself or bought it somewhere?

I have been using the planex for several years. It is needing replaced. Which one would you recommend if you where going to have just one sander.

How bad are the swirl marks in final product. I bet it scratched the job all to hell.

Sanding popcorn? Try soaking it with a hose with couple layers of floor paper down and scrape that shit off!!

Drywallers know what a properly designed electric sander should be. A room full of cluster phocks known as engineers, the greatest minds on earth, can never get it right. Porter & cable, nice try. The original planex, too heavy, and the sanding head is just clumsy. Festool thinks there on to something and come out with the planex easy cause its lighter? But, the sanding head is compromised for dust extraction and its concave. Only the 2 inch perimeter of the sanding pad is in contact with the wall surface, which is still usable but full surface contact is obviously preferred. Looks like the the guys at Mirka finally go it right, with an orbital sanding stroke, allowing for the best possible finish.
