I don't care what the issue is. I NEED TO GET MY FOOD IN THE DOOR AND START MAKING THIS MONEY! Prior military IT on my resume too i just need certs then maybe i can go be a aws cloud practitioner or software developer maybe even management if I plateau in Cyber.

This was really good and I’m already in the Tech world of medical. Just learn that one of the branches lost 6 members in one day. All 6 left on a Monday and no one knew they were gone for 3 weeks

Most of their complaints can be applied to most companies, not even just IT companies.

My wife works in sales and they don't appreciate her, unless she leaves and their sales take a nosedive.

Companies are like this, either build your own company or accept it. At least in CyberSec the money is _real_ good. I've worked in Games industry for years and it's the same complaints but the pay is whack.

Security jobs come with being scapegoated when people don't listen to you and the constant stress in the organizations that don't care about being secure.

It ain't all rainbows and pots of gold. A lot of people get the bag and get out while they still have their sanity 😅

You're seeing this shortage at all levels. I work a basic helpdesk almost immediately after beginning the Cybersecurity/IT program at my local JuCo. They took me in when my only cert was ITF+
