I invited a homeless guy to my house for a shower and change of clothes and he ended up staying on my sofa for eight months ! He got his life back and a job because of that. I was without a home twice and friends took me in but I managed to get back in the saddle and got things in order. Today I am retired, quite happy.

No honorably discharged or retired veteran should be homeless. It’s disgraceful that those who were willing to sacrifice everything can be treated so poorly. He is right about those dishonest people playing the system. Those who really need it can’t get help while others are getting benefits fraudulently. The millions in wasted dollars because of fraud could be used instead to build affordable housing. The system needs an overhaul.
