I’m gonna bet the “no criminal record” just means “hadn’t been arrested for behavior yet “ .

This reporter asks much better questions than any on the major networks…so smart

The house they had was used for parties even when the residents of the house were not there. Anybody could have gone inside there. It's mind blowing how unsafe that was.

Six weeks is not a long time to solve a case like this. And please don’t give him credit that he doesn’t deserve. He’s not that smart. He apparently drove his vehicle to the crime. And if his DNA is under the fingernails of the victims or co-mingled with the victims DNA or on/in areas of a house where he shouldn’t have been then it doesn’t matter that he was in the house. Please don’t feed into this monsters narcissism.

The fact that he had no close ties to the victims and the investigators were able to track him down in 6-7 weeks is impressive, considering how long it usually takes in other cases where the murderers & victims didn't know each other.

Any cold premeditated crime is going to be harder to solve than a spontaneous crime of passion...kudos to law enforcement if indeed this is the perpetrator.

I can’t get past these kids losing life because of this animal. Praying for the families and souls of these angels.

This wasn't his first crime, I would look back at where he has been and try to find other crimes that have been unsolved, this generally presents in childhood so going back to highschool, I'm sure there will be others

*Once the arrest warrant is unsealed, * you’ll have the answers to many questions about how and why this individual came to be the primary suspect.

I don't think it took so long to crack the case because he's so smart. I think first they had to investigate and rule out people in the closest circle, they said they conducted over 300 interviews - that takes time. Plus DNA test results and match up takes time. *Edit: hes also from a different school in a different state and his dna isnt in the system. Lucky they found him at all, so this short amount of time isnt that long. And we allll still have very little info so Idk how anyone is speculating how smart this guy is or not. What are the catalysts leading you to speculate that?

I feel so bad for those sweet college kids. The boogeyman literally came into their room and made every horror movie, a reality.

There has been too much talk about the intelligence of this killer, but really he isn’t very smart because it only took the real intelligent people 7 weeks to apprehend him.
Who is really smart in this investigation are the authorities that kept the damming evidence and information that they recovered to themselves and didn’t leak it. Now that is intelligence at work. Way to go to all the smart individuals working this case and putting your job first. Amazing! The public can’t thank you enough.

I wonder how messed up the roommates are from knowing they were almost slaughtered

Good thing that it wasn't the neighbor, or hoodie man, or the other 2 female roommates that everyone blamed this on. Many apologies to go around for each of them.

The Chief says they got the right guy, and I'm going to believe him. That doesn't mean I don't believe he deserves his day in court, but I'm not going to say "allegedly" every time I call him a killer.

The fact that they caught him at all- as a criminology student.. who wasn't living in the area.. and was stupid enough to work in a job previously where he knew his DNA was on file.. indicates that he was either not as smart as he thought- or had become sloppy due to relapsing on drugs- where his obsessive nature was magnified by perhaps amphetamines. Credit to all these investigators...
