I made a lot of changes for plastic free july to become more eco friendly and sustainable, and lived without a lot of the plastic packaging that usually comes with things that I used to buy. I decided to give Plastic Free July a try this year and realized how hard it really is to go completely plastic-free!

This is something I have never given much thought to. I can imagine that it would be very difficult to eliminate all plastic. But, we must start somewhere. I am going to take the month of August to cut back on plastic and to consider other alternatives.

love these kinds of videos. would like to know your thoughts on reconciling with moments when your intentional living is not practical or possible, i.e. like the plastic products you couldn't get around. i always have such a horrible feeling when i can't live and do things the way I want that lines up with my morals, values, environmental/human concerns.

I also participate in plastic-free July. I was insanely difficult because do live with my family that do not really understand the impact we do every day. However it was a pretty nice experience to know more about the topic and the changes that we can do to do better

hi amanda i love your channel never said a thing. im happy you made that progress. now we can talk... step by step i do plastic free tings also on my instagram i show some stuff, i cant get rid of all of them due my babymilk or medicine. its just steps u can personaly do... or dont do.. cuz of medical issues or allergys...

I've discovered it's so hard I've definitely tried, but I always forget to ask for my drinks WITHOUT straws, although I have found a lot of places no longer give them to you unless you ask! SO that's a plus haha. But I have the same struggle with toothpaste too! And razors...do you use a safety razor now??? I'm scared to try

I think there is a plastic free toothpaste alternative at Lush

Lush toothpaste, while not plastic free, is more recyclable than tubes. 🙂
