Keeping Freshwater Stingrays - What I've learned so far

Recently I bough myself a freshwatet stingray.
I found it difficult to find information on these fascinating creatures so I wanted to out a video togetger for you all sumnarising what I have learned.

I am considering buying a three way cross from Aquapet Victoria,
I heard they need a good filtration and my 6x2x2 has been calling for a ray,

I have a 6x2x2 without a sump, I keep clean water but just how sensitive are these rays? 2 canisters 1 internal filter and 2 sponges would be enough with regular water changes?

Perhaps having some of the tank bare bottom and a section of sandpit would help cleaning up but still provide a natural play pen for feeding? That fancy Fluval battery operated vacuum may have to have a few extra cartridges to pick up poop from that guy?

If i had some freshwater stingrays. As amazing as they are. I'd happily trade them for Pea Puffers.
PSA. Over time They 'shed' or release old stingers/barbs. So eventually the substrate will have numerous loose barbs. Something to be mindful of safety wise.
