These are the coffee makers you'll most commonly find in Finnish households, so I've learned from places like Reddit and through videos right here on YouTube. Naturally, as someone who's always been passionate about Finland and Finnish culture, and because they're the country that has the most coffee consumption per capita in the world, I find that it's a no-brainer to go with a Moccamaster. It just makes sense. Make of that what you will, but if anyone here is still on the fence, maybe that'll help you decide x

We’ve had these for ten years. They are great!

I love the Moccamaster brewers. I have 2 of them and want to add the Moccamaster CDT Grand to my collection.

For mostly brewing half carafs would you recommend kb or kbgv.

Will the KB filter holder work with the KBGV? I would like to be able to close off the flow for pre-infusion.

Most of the time I will brew 2-3 cups but on weekends we need larger capacities. Technivorm says minimum amount for KB is 4 cups. What is your experience with smaller quantities?

I have the CLubline, which I don’t know the year of manufacture, but it’s running like new. I love it!! Best coffee maker ever!

Great overview, thanks! I have the KBGV and it's about time to replace the glass carafe as the plastic on lid's hinge has worn out and is about to break. Now I'm wondering: would the KB's carafe be compatible with the KBGV brewer? I think the KB's carafe looks somewhat more sturdy for some reason.

I've had one for about 30 years now, no problems except for the grounds holder/basket, it has a shutoff valve and and useually use it each brewing cycle. I start with it blocked, let the water build up and stir the grounds with all the water in it then open the valve, nice trick to get stronger coffee. But after 20 years for the grounds bucket isn't bad when used nearly every day.

What about the concern that the hot plate burns sitting coffee by the time I want a second cup. Is that a legit reason to get the thermal or is that not really why my coffee tastes bad in my cuisinart

I believe the 'v' is like a German v, which is closer to an English f. So it's pronounced techniform, instead of tecnhiworm, which makes more sense. Thank you for an instructive video.

Does the hotplate degrade the coffee quality? I am trying to determine if I should get the thermal model instead as in the past I thought I heard that hotplates degrade flavor.

What is the benefit of having the water flowing slower?

Can it be used with finer ground coffee?

I stepped up to the KBGT brewer, which I like better than the KBT.

Two things that he said incorrectly. The Moccamaster cup with Black silicone wrap DOES come with the purchase. The cup is in the box rather than a separate item with proof of purchase. The other colors that are available for purchase are green, blue and orange. Second,

If only the Cup One had a decent shower head. It would be a world beater single cup brewer.

Beware when purchasing Melitta #1 filters. I ordered them from Amazon and the filters were very small. These filters were way too small for the Cup One. In fact, I have never seen this small a filter nor have I seen a coffeemaker that would accommodate this very small filter.
