Remote Control Battery Cover Fix

Hey BigNate .... nobody breaks that end of the battery cover it's the other end with that bendy V clip part that we need a fix for. as you said tape is a quick fix but i really need an idea to fix that V clip part and i lost the clip thing. so any ideas?

Thanks Micheal. I got tired of using tape. It really makes a big difference if you score the plastic piece with a knife so the glue gets forms a stronger bond. Its held up good so far.

You could try a paper clip, or other small piece of metal or hard plastic. It helps to brush the the plastic with sandpaper to score it and ruff up the surface of the plastic before applying glue.

Well the WASR was very tempting. Maybe some day I'll get one of those. I decided to go with a Remington 700 chambered in 30-06. I'm hoping to take it deer hunting someday and I kind of fell in love with the classic bolt action. Thanks for asking!

To level the hot glue instead of a cutter, you can use the tip of the hit glue to melt the hot glue and reduce it to your desired level.

Thanks man! By the way I am not a firearm expert lol. I'm not even sure I would be considered an enthusiast lol. I did just by a new rifle though. Should be picking it up next week.

BigNate! I can't think of a fix for the opposite side of that cover... the clip bit. Have you a video for that? I'm not getting many results online.

I used epoxy resin glue to hold it in place

It's not broke it's striped so ur fixing that. I need to fix genius idea when cover is missing.

i have an issue... i completely lost the battery cover to my remote. and on this remote it just so happens that the batteries go in vertically and the cover has a metal piece on it in which makes the batteries work. i know, i could go buy a new remote but i would rather figure out how to fix this one. any ideas?
