Even if I didn't have a click under the dash, the light of revelation when you showed us how to get under the dash with NO TOOLS.... yeah. Game changer.

Thanks! The access to those actuators and blend doors is a great find.

Appreciate the video you saved me 800$ from going to a mechanic. Got the actuator off and reset the teeth and it’s working like new :)

Yes this is exactly what I was thinking of doing as far as leaving it in defrost and floor position... The only two you really need! My 08 Liberty has 291, 000 miles it's gonna live to see 300, 000 but it's time to do the same thing as seen here thank you for sympathizing and educating!

I've had Jeeps for quite awhile and the blend doors have always been an issue. On my old grand cherokee, I had to replace the heater core and both blend doors, due to them breaking. Now I'm dealing with a liberty and because it's blowing cold air when it's in the blend setting. Good times, hope Jeep figured out these heating issues since I have a new Grand Cherokee now.

Thank you for the great detail, my liberty is stuck in heat all the time. Your video gave me a pretty good idea of where to start.

Thank you, Hilton, I have known to have a heating issue on my Jeep Liberty and was leaning towards the actuators. I wanted to see the install process and your video was a good reference of the effort required and area to investigate. Thanks! top notch.

Thanks for showing how to gain more access to the parts. Big guy, tight space. Means cussing. and more cussing. The bottom actuator was my problem. Took it off and manually moved the gear to get cold air for a/c. Wondered why it wasnt getting very hot this past winter. Now I know, gonna get the new part tomorrow and throw it on. Until then I left the actuator plugged in but held off to the side out of the way til the new one comes. Thanks again for the bottom dash trick, helped a big guy to see the light lol.

Should the end of the blend door for the directional flow be turning for every time you move the knob? Mine is not moving when the knob is turned to the floor, floor/front vents, and floor/defroster.
The heat and A/C are fine it just doesn’t go to the floorboard ☹️

This has been very helpful.  Thank you.  I'm hoping I can use this to diagnose the problem in my daughter's Jeep Liberty.  It's blowing cold all the time but both inlet and outlet hoses to the heater core are hot, so I'm assuming that means the problem is not with the heater core but possibly with the blend door/actuator assembly.

This just gave me all my answers. As soon as I seen what I'm looking for I realized I am missing one of the actuators
