The thing about Marner and the playoffs is the Leafs are burning him out by playing on his line, on the power play and the PK. IMHO that's why he has a good season and nothing left in the tank at the end of the regular season.

I love the Treliving Leafs. I realize ownership will not move the core. So this is the best we can get given the restriction. Goaltending looks solid. Defense is beefed up and moves the puck out. Coaching is no-nonsense. More depth in scoring.

I like that empty netter, and that SPLIT SECOND of Nylander having his internal dialogue of "...do I let Knies have this, or do I just get it over with?"

I mean, just getting the puck in the net and ending the game is the right choice. But it's still funny.

Once Leafs learn to dump it out with flip passes they won't be giving up easy goals. Let's see how they play against top heavy forecheck teams. Nylander, Domi and Knies is a good line.

Holmberg's terrible back turned against the point man was minor hockey lameness. The Leafs have been marking the points much better under this new coach Berube.
