I love the sound of that! It is so sad that Volvo is discontinuing that engine ;( I wish they would keep it, but as many of you know, Volvo is turning into a low emissions car maker. But at least Volvo's are luxurious and safe.

I have pretty much the same exhaust setup. When I saw this video I did a double take because I thought it was my car at first. I'm trying to make my 2009 Volvo Xc90 V8-R Design a track sleeper. I have s60R front and rear calipers, drilled and slotted front and rear rotors, braided brake lines, strut bar, custom cold air intake, custom headers, custom midpiping, and valved custom cat-back exhaust.

bypass system without exhaust was about 3000$. So in total it should be around 5k-6k. But that's in Switzerland. Stuff like that is expensive here :)

I just got the MY11 Xc90 4.4 ltr V8 sounds awesome in the cab but doesn't growl outside, Gotto get it sounding better on the cheap somehow without making my fuel economy suffer they rev awesomely too

absolutely right - i also like the old taillights :)
mh depends on what you like. for me the V8 is the best engine. The car is fast - compared to other SUVs. The 2.5T is a good engine, but i think for 2200kg it's a little underpowered... the T6 are ok, but fuel consumption is almost the same as with the V8 and the old models with T6 have problems with the automatic gearbox. you can be sure that it will break before you reach 100'000kmh (60000 miles).

thx ;) the "individual" catback is not loud... it's just a little bit better than stock. But i think you can combine all kinds of catback/sport-exhausts with a valve system... Volvo V8 sounds great anyway :) have fun with your v8 sport :)

Noble M600 uses the same engine, just slapped a pair of turbos and called it a day. smh works really good

Yamaha needs to put the 4.4 V8 in the new XC90 and the 5 cyl in the XC60
