About the lecture:
(Neuro)science of love. What happens in our brains and bodies when we love?
In this lecture I will present how our brain functions under the spell of love. Firstly I will focus on evolutionary origins of love, how are we similar to other animals and what are the consequences of such processes. Then I will explain, which processes occur in our brain and body when we fall in love, when we love and after years of being together. Why can’t we stop thinking about someone we felt in love with and why after few years we feel so attached to our partner. These are the questions you will know the answer to, after this lecture. Additionally we will discuss if there is anything we can do to trick our brain when we aim to feel in love more, and how our brain responds to that. If these are the topics you are interested in, this lecture will bring a new knowledge and perspective at them for you.
