This sport absolutely exploded in Italy, now every city and even small towns have dozens of courts. I tried it this summer and got hooked immediately, such a fun sport

This is 100x cooler than pickleball. Wish this blew up in the states as a tennis alternative

If you check, when tennis was 'first' played, it was in a 'housing square'and the ball cound bounce off the walls of the houses. So basically back to a semi form of the past.

In England in the 70's we sometimes played this in our P, E class. The teacher called it Pada Tennis. I always thought it was a substitute for real sport but I guess if enough money and marketing are put behind it anything is possible.

that man walked out the door, ordered a pizza, ate it, came back in, and continued the point...

Padel is like checkers because there is a wall to bail you out. Tennis requires more control and finesse.

As a tennis player padel is pretty interesting. Might try it out one day

I’m an ex squash player and very eager to try this one out but I’ve just seen the price of the rackets! I still want to try but that’s insane.

I find it strange. The first padel played in my country was 2019...2 years later...all football fields, tennis courts, and other sports switched to padel Court as they have exploded in popularity

I didn’t know this sport, it’s a mix of tennis and squash.

I’ve played this and it’s good entertainment and workout. The only thing is that the only strategy is to defend and rebound. Can’t do like tennis like commit to a drop shot or decide a laser ground stroke or a commanding volley. Building a point is based in getting it back no matter what instead of playing strategies and styles

I love tennis and love Padel. I play both to a decent standard. Take it from me it’s far harder to win a point at tennis than Padel. Once you have the correct technique it’s easier to play Padel than tennis. In both sports you need to peel the onion before the winner. If anything tennis is more of a chess game than Padel as there is no room for errors.

played tennis my whole life. moved to puerto rico for a bit. i picked up beach tennis and got hooked immediately. i have moved back and i am desperate to find this in my city so that i can play this. i gave pickleball a try and so far it's just not the right feel for me. this looks more up my alley.

First time seeing paddle ball, it’s a mix between squash and tennis while pickle ball is a mix of tennis and ping pong… one thing is Pickleball is much cheaper to set up a court vs paddleball walls

I can’t wait to line my pockets distributing all the juicy merch materialised after the inevitable upswing in participation garnered by this excellent video. I’m rich!!

So how do you win the point? That ball bounced everywhere

So fun! Just getting into it. Is that how you say padel in English? AFAIK, it's Spanish in origin, and you say it very close to paddle (think rowing).
