Knuckles wasn't thinking about what game he wanted, he knew in his heart that he was choosing mario galaxy but he also knew that his friend sonic the blue blur wasn't going to be happy with his choice even though him and mario were cool with each other. after a solid minute he chose mario galaxy sadly his fear became true after he saw life explosives in his hand instead of the game he wanted not only did the gamestop "mysteriously" turned into rubble but not a single part of knuckles was found
Moral of the story pick sonic/sega games around sonic otherwise the next time you look at your hand an explosive surprise might be there instead

As a GameStop employee, I would likely recommend getting a Sonic game rather than Mario. Sonic has way better graphics. Everyday Sonic would come here and pick up every single game from Sonic himself, including Origins. As you see, I love sonic.

As a man who played both of these games i can confirm that mario galaxy has way more to offer than sonic mania although you dont feel quite the same nostalgia while playing it
