I bought this last week and kust now beginning to read it. I have to say, I know nothing about the storylines that were being told around this time amd the first couple of chapters *confused the hell out of me* . It wasn't until the book finally starts with the Avengers leaving to join the galactic council to fight the Builders that the story started picking up steam. I'm reading a few pages here and there and it's been a great read so far. The Black Order is no joke. MCU *REALLY* nerfed them bad. I'm at the part where the Illuminati group was told that Thanos was really seeking out his son on Earth. great read so far....

Hi, great review! I have a question: is it really necessary to read the avengers and new avengers runs? If I just read the Infinity book will I understand?

Nice review! I felt the same way the first time i read it back when I was collecting the single issues. Recently re-read Hickman's entire body of work (oh man, it took a while) during his time at Marvel. Such a pleasure to read. The way he weaves his threads, develops the characters, World building and foreshadowing at its best.

Anyway, I love Infinity even more now! My 2nd favorite thing by Hickman in Marvel, behind Fantastic Four. Hope he will have an opportunity to do a big project with DC in the future. With a consistent art team if possible (Wishful thinking i guess)! Hahahaha

Just realized you forgot to mention Thanos's part in this event!
