Retired Ford engineer. Let's just say Ford has a different corporate culture and design philosophy than Toyota. Love my Highlander.

As a previous Ford Explorer owner the short answer is "NO"! Do not buy unless you like want to pay for your mechanics kids college fund...

Whenever I hear Ahmed say something is "interesting", substitute that word for "crappy & ridiculous. Don't buy this garbage". He's way too nice, but I've figured him out. 😂

Drove a 2020 Explorer as a Police unit for 120k miles. Chased cars, hit its top speed at least once every couple of weeks, floored it from a dead stop at least 10 or 15 times a day, pushed cars out of the road. I’ve driven numerous police vehicles. Crown Vic, 2020 Tahoe, 2014-2019 Explorers. I will say, the 2020+ Explorers are hands down the best and they ride like a sports car at high speeds. Most it ever needed was new coil packs and a CV axles. Not bad it my opinion.

It almost feels like companies now days are competing to see which one can get more unreliable. Btw this is my favorite series on this channel!

Wet belt for the oil pump... great design. I believe it's called planned obsolescence. Guaranteed to be trouble free until the engine warrantee expires. The sarcastic title of Ford Exploder, well earned once again

Greetings from Iraq.

Proud to see such a talented Iraqi mechanic making his way to the top.

I really enjoy your way of reviewing cars.

Keep up the good work mate.

the 2.3 is a more reliable motor. has been in the base Mustang since 15. no wet belt, no plastic oil pan. more room in the engine. lots of 2.3 with over 150 thousand miles on them. proper up keep 5 thousand mile oil changes 5yr or 50 thousand coolant change your good to go. great review as always!👍

Recalls waiting to happen with all those hoses rattling around 🤣

How they justified the wet timing belt in this engine after the incredible failure of the 1.0l 3 cylinder Ecoboost is beyond me.

I have not yet watched the video. I already have an answer about buying one. A hard no. I love the Car Care Nut. AWESOME content.

I like the look of the new Explorers especially the ST. Thank you for convincing me not to buy one though.

You can tell with his reviews he is a Toyota tech.

His nitpicks are funny on non Toyota makes. For this Ford. Alot of brands haven't had transmission drain plugs for at least 20 years and not just a "Ford" thing. Majority of brands have one power lift for the rear. All 2025 Ford models lost the factory keypad, yet it is still a dealer install option. It went away as the Ford app on your cell will lock / unlock doors. There's more, but here's a few.

I was waiting for this review but I ended up buying one anyway about a month ago 😂. 2025 ST-Line so it has the 2.3L instead which I think is a much better engine in terms of reliability. Hopefully will hold up in the long term cause I’m loving it so far.

Also the reason the exhaust tips point down is because of the issue they were having with the Police interceptors that had exhaust intrusion into the cabin while idling, the solution was to simply point the tips downward. They all have the same exhaust system.

Cops all over America must be mourning the demise of the great Crown Vic.

Wet belt nice, if you want to replace yes you need to take out both chains. Very nice ford!!!. Turbo? Transfer case? Roller rocker arms ?….. not buying it for sure

The 2.3 ecoboost engine is pretty good. Been around for a while and no major problems

Reminds me of my last American car, a 1980 Skylark. My mechanic and I completed the assembly.
