The things about the beauty and the beast, is that the entire point was that what everyone else saw as a villain, was gentle, kind, and in the end, lovable.
The person who acted like the traditional hero, and in many ways was the first Disney twist villain, was Gaston. He was drawn as a traditional hero. A prince type, up against a villanius monster. Only to show us that our actions, not our looks is what defines us.

The Harry Potter conversion was mind-blowing. Nothing could be more creative!

The trouble with trying to draw Gaston as a heroic figure was he WAS drawn as a heroic figure in the movie. It was his actions that defined him.

I like that you decided to switch Gaston's outfit from red to blue; I'm sure you know the designers have often said that they deliberately made Belle the only one in town to wear blue to make her stand out as different, and so that when the Beast turns up to the ballroom in blue it shows their growing connection.

Standing beside harry Voldemort still looks evil, like he's corrupted Harry or is Harry's butler or something, but if the two of them were in a wizard duel Voldemort could definitely come across as the hero. Fantastic redesign of harry potter.

The way Jazza is able to change a couple of things in a characters, character design to make them look more evil, is so amazing. Honestly everything he and his team makes is amazing, so I dont understand why im surprised

Gosh, the Harry Potter flip is genius. When you think about it, not allowing anyone to say or remember a person’s name or deeds correctly and being remembered as a villain is a super evil curse to cast on someone. I always thought not even saying a villain’s name is kinda dumb because you’re kinda hobbling your societies ability to recognize the evil person and find ways to defeat them, but if it was actually a curse meant to hide the truth and make the name owner suffer it would make so much more sense!

I love how jazza actually made the character arcs make sense for both swaps instead of just changing the expression/outfit, and said they were the villain or hero instead. Extremely well done!

The flipped Beauty and the Beast story is AWESOME! I can see Beast as an anti-villain who is duped by Belle and realizes too late how much of an actual monster he's become.

Crazy how by changing the facial expression instantly turned Gaston into a protagonist character, while the same mindset made Belle a villain. Expression is important in art

amazing as always, jazza! however for the harry potter one, voldemort looks like he is a fun grandpa who is guiding the evil harry. i think he shouldn't placed at the side of him. but separately, the designs were awesome!

You did a good job with these! One of the things I've noticed in animation - Disney in particular - what makes the biggest difference between villains and heroes is the eyebrows. Heroes can smirk and can have that 'I'm better than you' look, but it's the arch of the eyebrows that show if they are really a good person or not. With Gaston, he is everything a hero should be. Cocky, brave, good looking, charismatic, etc, but because his eyebrows are not only so large and dark, they are highly arched. Similar to Vanessa, she is practically a copy of Bell. Large eyes, softer features, elegant, but it's those eyebrows. If they were softened, I bet no one would be able to tell that she is actually a sea-witch in disguise.

The spin on the harry potter world was a fun one, I've actually read a lot of different versions of twists in Voldemort's character, one of my favorites was always "Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality", but there's a lot of different fan fics out there about the universe that are really fun to read.

Why do i like your Harry Potter story so much more than the orginal?

Your re-works of existing characters are really among the most entertaining videos on Youtube for me. And the results are amazing. Thank you for this moments of joy.

I LOVE that Jazza took the stories and flipped them on their heads. Not just a new design, but a new story to go with it! Great job, Jazz! Super creative and so so fun to watch and listen to! (That Voldemort voice nearly did me in! 😂)
Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorites, and I loved the villain/hero flip flop. This was awesome.

Seeing Harry and Voldemort together like that made me feel like Voldemort is kind of the nice and genial servant figure next to the dominant dark character. Kind of like Alfred next to Batman but their evil versions.

I love that this whole video is basically just Jazza gaslighting us hahahaha. But it is so interesting to really consciously observe what style and colour choices can do to really change your inherent perception of someone!

I think Voldemort was translated pretty well into a cute grandpa on his last heroic walk on the path of good.

I think the lighting kind of backtracked it a bit. It emphasised Harry's corruption pretty well, just maybe another light source should have been added, like a soft lumos spell from Voldy. Maybe Nagini holding the wand with its mouth like a dog playing fetch 😅
