Bozeman gathers public feedback on Affordable Housing Ordinance at open house

City officials held an open house Thursday in Bozeman to gather feedback on the city’s Affordable Housing Ordinance.
Bozeman initially passed the ordinance in 2022 after losing the power to implement inclusionary zoning. The hope was that by allowing deviations from code, developers would be incentivized to build affordable units.
But the ordinance became the subject of controversy earlier this year, prompting city commissioners to take a closer look.
