Brian: I hear you when you say "Matter over Thread" is much more reliable (at least for now) than it is "over WiFi".

Since I'm basically holding off on any further smart home acquisitions until the Matter experience improves, I find myself wondering when we'll finally get access to some decent Thread devices (here in Canada in particular...)

I'm basically in the market for a couple of the Samsung "Stations" (unveiled at this year's CES but still unavailable here), a good number of smart dimmable light switches for indoors and a low voltage transformer for my back yard, but there’s not a lot out there yet by way of Thread-based devices in the latter categories... Do you have any intel on whether production of such devices is ramping up yet?

I just released a video on how to shorten this strip like the Immersion, and you helped me realize it now only applies to Immersion. They've added silicone so you cannot rescale via creasing connections. Thank you!

So I already had my Aqara M2 hub and a couple sensors linked to my Google home app. Thanks to you I figured out how to link/bind the hub using matter ( with GH and ST ). My question is now that it's connected via matter, can I unlink Aqara in GH or do I need to leave it? I ask because one of the sensors show up as duplicate in GH now.

I have installed a three way Meross wall switch and experiencing some problems . Installed just one . The light does switch on and off at the Meross switch. But at the other switch the light will some times come right back on after turning off the switch. Do I have it wired wrong ? Thanks in advance, love the videos.

How is the sync with new Envisual? In my Govee vs Hue Sync video, the sync intermittently falls behind using Immersion. Even in gaming mode. I happily accept this given price point and sync accuracy in everyday use. Great vid!

I want to know more about that scoreboard at the 22 minute mark. What is it and does it show live scores??

For the Nanoleaf Matter lights, were you able to connect them to both the homekit app and the google home app? That function never seemed to work for the older essential bulbs/stringlights. Once I connected my essential bulbs to the homekit app (with Thread), they stopped working with google home.

Great video & I agree, the Yee Lights are too expensive. Can you tell me if the matter hookup btw SmartThings & the Matter NanoLeaf bulb worked with ST’s without a Matter border router? Thx!

I love your description of tuya😂😂 on my page, I call it the budget brand smart home. In my day Every Sony Walkman also had a Coby Walkman

Did the RGB colors got brighter with this version?
Because the one I bought a few months ago is less bright than my old 600 lumen Phillips hue bulb.

I have a curved tv . What is my best option? I don't think the camera based tv back lighting is made for that

Brian, I love you, your videos are great and you are super informative. But please get a manicure before shooting, or a lower definition camera.😂

I always wondered, do you buy some of the stuff from your own money or were these products send by the manufacturer for review ?

I admit, I'm an old geezer. But I honestly have never seen any purpose to having colored light on the wall surrounding my television.

My other complaint with the govee lights is that Valor accuracy is terrible, and that's clearly visible when you dhow them in use.

I have 2x of the govee 1st generation TV lights. The problem is that they pick up ambient light. I have a window near one and that kills the right side of the lights if there is any light coming in. The room has to be pretty dark for the camera based system to be usable. I ended up just buying the hue box. It's more expensive hut works for better.
