Scrapped Locomotives -The END for these classics-

The END of the line has arrived for a number of old Soo Line, Milwaukee Road, D&H, and CP locomotives. After having served the railroad for over 50 years, they have sadly, met the scrappers torch. With the aid of the drone, we'll get a unique, and up close view of whats left of these classic engines!

We'll see seven classic locomotives from CPKC's roster, and see how they look upon being scrapped at Saint Paul Yard. These locomotives were Soo 4601, Soo 4603, Soo 2010, CP 5878, CP 7312, CP 4617, and CP 4602. After much speculation, these engines were not saved, and scrapped on site. While a large portion of the locomotives were cut up, small pieces here and there were saved for use on other engines. While it was sad to see these classics cut up, it was nice to know *some* parts of them got saved in the end!

**All drone video was taken with prior authorization from the FAA, LAANC approval, and DJI GeoZones being unlocked** Permission was granted days in advance for this.**

Great video! It is very sad to see old SOO and Milwaukee road unit a all ripped up. As someone who likes SOO this really hurt, to bad they did not try to save one.

that's a pretty sad fate for these great engines but your images are pretty cool! Thanks to your drone doing this. ;)

Not good to see those 645 blocks being handled like that. With current regulations, it is physically impossible to ever build a new engine as efficient, reliable and responsive as the 645. All of that needs to be saved and rebuilt for continued decades of service, lest the railways be stuck with tier 4 junk.

Nice to know I can buy parts of them. Might make a nice wall decoration.

That was a really cool video and I liked the narration of it all. This might be an odd question, but do you know of any places on Facebook Marketplace that might sell more items like this? I don't get on Facebook much, but if you don't, maybe you would know what types of things that I should search for to be able to find sellers like that? Thanks for your time and I'm looking forward to more content like this (first time watching one of your videos).

You could buy the cab section for 10cents a pound, put in the back yard and make a fort.
