Heard Shawn call in to Golf station on XM yesterday. Can't believe the hosts hadn't seen your vids before! Hopefully now more people will benefit from your teaching like I have.

14:18 - 15:07 - pure brilliance! "Bring the machine to the ball" is right up there with "go get the ground" and "another bone in the body". WISDOM IN GOLF is working quite well with my tennis students also! Thanks Shawn.

Shawn thanks for the videos. Swing the club to the target video rather than the ball has made a world of difference in my ball striking. Do you have way to work on other things in my swing while not reverting back to my old ways of hitting to the ball?

Hi Shawn and happy New Year. I'm going out to throw some stuff right now. Quick question - apart from ball position and distance from ball at set up, should there be any difference in the swing? Are we still looking for hands leading through the ball ?
At 67 you've already helped me get down from 11 to 10. This year back to single figures - hopefully !

Happy New Year Shawn ! Assumption : Two golfers with exact club head speed, resulting in same flight line but one ball goes further than the other . We are told COMPRESSION makes the difference in the further ball flight ( not to mention more satisfying feeling when compression achieved ) .

Could you sharpen our focus at the time of the near moment the club contacts the ball and give us, a TASK question to ask ourselves, to increase our chances of getting COMPRESSION and not only good solid contact.

Going through the dandelion, for me, has not translated into COMPRESSION . I need another TASK perhaps ?

Thank you !

As a right handed person playing left handed the throwing analogy does not work for me. Is there another apology I could use?

Hi Shawn, Ive wanted to ask this question about your whippy swing before and I try and replicate it whenever I play but is there a danger that the club head will overtake the hands using this technique?

Do you feel the abandonment in the swing on both backswing and through swing, or just through swing?

Think that David Ogrin tool is a whole lot safer than the Bill Melhorn grass whip plus looks easier just to keep in my golf bag. Will you be brining one to Alico?

The thing that confuses me is the "dip" in the swing as you are approaching the ball on the down stroke, when your shifting your body to face the target. I have been trying to do this, and I constantly chunk the ball. Yes, I get fixated on the ball, which does effect the swing and contact. This only applies to the fairway shots, as my drives seem to be well coordinated, and generally down the middle.

Thanks Shawn . Almost broke my first 80 thanx to your advice.

This makes sense. My golf pro used to tease me in saying I had a picture perfect practice swing but when a ball is placed in front of me ...well ...not so much

I forgot to say, difference between driver and irons.
