Hey Anton, I'm a technologist at Jefferson Lab in Virginia, we continuously accelerate our Electrons up to 12 Gev. We are working on a collaboration to build LCLS2 cryomodules for SLAC and are building SNS Cryomodules for Oak Ridge NL also. Anyway, first I have heard of this technology I"ll pass it along to some collogues in the source group. Keep up the good work!

We have two cyclotrons at work. They're production cyclotrons, they make fluorine-18, which we then use in a glucose analog that doctors use to image tumors in patients. They cost more than a million dollars each, not two million, and each one fits in a mid-sized room. Then there was a shortage of thallium-201, another medical isotope, because the cyclotron that Lantheus uses to make it was down for repairs. I feel a lot of people don't know about that stuff. Particle accelerators, quiet and hidden, just churning out product day after day.

This is really a fantastic breakthrough. It will allow more research labs to have their own accelerators for research.

This is absolutely genius and amazing! Thank you for showing this to us!

Awesome, thanks Anton! I remember tha first announcement of laser surfing accelerators. This sounds like a big improvement, maybe fusion in the near future?! The old CRT TVs did recommend a distance from the screen, to minimize the ''braking radition', , from the electrons stopping at the screen.

It's reassuring to see rational thought and behavior are still of value. Thank you, Anton.

Some days your videos are the only time during the day i feel positive and happy and my mind can think of something else, thanks ❤

Regarding those entertaining CRTs... LOL, actually CRT tubes did produce some X-Rays. That is why the glass had to be leaded and the back of the tube coated in lead. I used to fix the occasional computer monitor. Quite often they had radiation warning stickers inside the cases (along with the 25, 000V shock warning).

i went to fermalabs in chicago back in 2011 durring high-school... it was really kool, they actually allowed us near the magnets and equipment and into the control room... my class went durring a maintenance period so we didnt get to see it in action, but getting to see the equipment was kool...

oh and they have a Buffalo farm in the land above the accelerator

I learned about medical x-ray accelerators in college, the thing is that they use like 3 and each one individually passes through the tissue; it's only in the space that the three converge on that the radiation kills the tissue.

TY Anton for showing us the benefits of not punching holes IN scientific theories, but punching holes WITH scientific theories.

Another fascinating video Anton I think you have to be one of the most interesting and enlightening channels on this platform. And the way you explain things gives us uninformed but want to have a minds blown people a chance to understand and you keep going with this stuff. Truly awesome. 🙏😱👽👍

the bending space in front of the object and trying to make it travel was nonsense :I'm glad to see they understand that it's easier to be dragged behind d the wave
Thanks for the time and effort you invest in your productions they are very much appreciated and enjoyed
