The bead work man. My hands just ache thinking about doing it. I received Kaya the Native American Girl Doll as a child and I loved her blue ensemble. It would become my favorite color. When I was twelve I wanted to paint my room to match it but convinced to tone it down by my father.

it's nice to see all the appreciation of beading in the comments. even a small piece takes us hours, not to mention the practice it takes to become good at it

I grew up in Flagstaff Az with the Navajo and Hopi. When I worked at JoAnn Fabrics, spring was my favorite time because the mothers, grandmother's and aunts would come in to get fabric for new dresses. They always came looking for me, cause I would just gush over them. These are absolutely beautiful 😍, I know so much love and care went into that beading.

Beadwork is something I could watch for HOURS. I can't work well with my hands, so I can't do this type of work.... but I admire it so much!

I love that they have taken back their names and identity.. Well done.. Now they need to take back their land and I'm sure many will support them.
