Customers definitely have the rite to privacy and security. We also deserve encryption across the board, it'll protect us and our data from criminals. I'm glad the CEO of Apple is pushing for this. We should all support this.

Tim Cook just earned a lot of respect! Congratulations Tim for standing up and being a role model for freedom lovers everywhere.

I'm not saying Tim would get an accommodation from the FSF, but for a CEO to speak out like this is still great

This is why I love Apple. iPhone vs galaxy aside, this is why Apple is the best.

Yeah. I guess it is complex. PC password is a couple of order below perfect and Apple paid $1b for fingprint, that's pretty complex.

Interesting how this issue has arisen again because of the San Bernardino case

This is just the beginning of the debate. There has to be a better argument.

In a weekend conversation on radio station WNYM/970 AM, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. called the iPhone "the terrorists' communication device of choice, " owing to the default disk encryption present in iOS 8.

I don't agree with everything apple and Tim Cook says in this case I agree with apple and Tim Cook if a good reason or explanation for the government to have some private information is then the answer is then whatever information that the government wants for whatever reason is good enough and that's simply not a satisfactory explanation

He never said he wasn't trying to help the government but he wasn't trying to put other customers at risk of hackers because of this one issue and is the FBI sure this was a terrorist attack or they just assuming Tim Cook also stated he tried to help the best way he could but I say again if it's another way to get into that phone I hope they find one quick because I don't want my information in the hands of hackers or any criminals and my prayers are with the victims families I pray they find a way to get into that iPhone without creating a back door to retrieve the information to give the 14 families some justice #if you don't like my opinion Kiss my A**
