Kylie Minogue SMASHED this surprise performance of 'Padam Padam' at Wembley Stadium today.
I've seen a few comments across multiple platforms that the crowd didn't seem THAT into it, but if you watch it closely, almost ALL of them are filming it.
I think that's so sad and yet that is exactly where life is now in 2023. She was stood right there in front of them, but instead of being present in the space with her, they chose to watch her through a lens, which took away their enjoyment and from the atmosphere.
Make no mistake, I have filmed bits at concerts before (I love concert intro's so I've often filmed Madonna's or Beyonce's intros which are usually spectacular.) But then generally, I put my phone away. Because I want to be PRESENT. Why pay all that money just to film the whole thing on your phone? It makes it so much harder for the artist too, to rev the crowd up?
Madonna got it right on her last tour when she banned mobile phones and they were all put in cases you couldn't open as they had a magnet mechanism.
I actually think ALL concerts should be this way going forward, with a blanket ban on mobile phones so that people can just be PRESENT FOR THE CONCERT THEY PAID TO GO & SEE.
