Rainbow -- Street Of Dreams :: Lyrics :: I heard the sound of voices in the night
Spellbound there was someone calling
I looked around no one was in sight
Pulled down I just kept on falling
I've seen this place before
You were standing by my side
I've seen your face before tonight
Maybe I just see what I want it to be
I know it's a mystery
Do you remember me on a street of dreams
Running through my memory
On the street of dreams
There you stood a distant memory
So good like we never parted
Said to myself I knew you'd set me free
And here we are right back where we started
Soemthing's come over me
And I don't know what to feel
Maybe this fantasy is real
Now I know I see what I want it to be
But it's still a mystery
Do you remember me on the street of dreams
Running through my memory
On the street of dreams
You are on every face I see
On the street of dreams

Tell me have you always been
On the street of dreams
Will we ever meet again my friend
Do you know just what it meand to be
On the street of dreams
Never know just who you'll see do ya
On the street of dreams
You can be who you want to be oh yeah
I can hear you calling me
I can feel you haunting me

Joe Lyn is the ultimate ballad-worthy rock singer, regardless of decade.

Joe Lynn Turner is a vastly underappreciated singer.

Long live the 80's and all of us so very, very, fortunate to experience those glorious years.

Ritchie Blackmore stated that "Street of Dreams" is one of his favourite Rainbow songs. I heard this song around 1983 and in 2021 still enjoy it

Joe Lynn Turner has a great voice. Smooth, but gritty and powerful at the same time. Perfect for this track.

This is the video I remember watching early in the morning late 83 or early 84 before I walked to my bus stop. Memories of 8th grade and no cares in the world. Good times.

Ok what the hell just happened?
I’m 55 sitting here and all of a sudden I want to hear rainbow out of nowhere?
This song is barely thought of but I’m here now.

The best thing about picking a best Rainbow singer is that there is no wrong answer!

i met Joe and chatted after one of his performances. he was very humble and friendly. treated us as if we were his long time friends. And of course he was incredible while performing live. He truly is one of the best male vocals.

I'm 65, still love this song. I truly feel sorry for kids today and what they call "music"

Im 55 now and all alone. Everyone died and passed on even my sweet little soulmate wife. And this video is weird. I dont remember it or the song at all. But they were playing it on the radio earlier and I loved it and found it. The words make me think of my wife who is gone now. Kinda sad but a pretty song.
