I really hope Marvel explores Shuri's bond with Bucky moving forward - she helped heal him, meaning she was able to see the trauma that he went through. Now that Cap is gone, maybe she could be a friend that he could turn to as he continues to heal.

That first scene with the therapist alone is proof why giving Bucky the shield would've been a terrible idea. With not getting the chance to properly make amends with his past, taking that shield is too big of a responsibility for Bucky. Steve, being the loyal friend he is, knew what's best for Bucky and thus gave the shield to Sam. People who are whining about Marvel being too "woke" seems to forget the argument on Bucky's mental health. Steve would've definitely given the shield to Sam even if Sam were a White man.

I just want him to be loved so tenderly and comforted and protected. I want him to be able to stop hating and fearing himself, to be able to cry in someone’s arms on the days when it’s too much for him, to finally have a deep and pure belly laugh without any trace of irony or bitterness. I want him to know and believe that he is worth being loved and never doubt it again and want to keep living life.

It honestly really hurts how drastically has bucky changed....like in 'Captain America:The first avenger' we see him as he was....like happy and talkative and....open? I'm not getting And then he's put to so much torture and pain and the fact that he remembers everyone who he has killed just adds to it and it really hurts me!!! How he's now kinda serious and guilty and it's not even his fault!!🥺seb lives in my heart as bucky!

This literally made me cry. Bucky has been through SO MUCH, I'm glad he is finally finding peace. I hope he continues to find himself, to define who he wants to be in this world and that we get more of James Buchanan Barnes in the future. He deserves the world.
