To achieve this without too much strain especially on G string, what do you suggest for string gauge? Preferably Daddario XT strings? I currently have done this with Electric Guitar Strings which are bungier.

I've never come across this tuning but I have done the Open E Minor - EBEGBE

To put less stress on the strings and neck.. You can put capo on second fret and tune it like that ❤❤❤ same results, less tension ✌️Just like us in life, our guitars want the same 😊
