when browsing for books to read, i always look for book reviews. as a reader and booktuber, one of the most fun aspects of reading for me is building my book collection and having a space to display my books. that is why i bring you a 2024 bookshelf tour where i show you every single book i own physically (plus i break down my bookshelf organizational system plus some tips and tricks for book beginners). booktube and booktok have buzzed about some of these books… but did/will i enjoy them? i hope you guys enjoy this one and come out with more books to add to your TBR and some good book recommendations for 2024!

I’d recommend turning the read books on the unread shelves around until you can put them onto the main shelves. That way, you’re able to kind of track them as you go while also not having to reorganize your shelves every day.

i think keeping read and unread books apart from each other is the best system, because as you've mentioned if they're on the same shelves they can kind of blend together in your mind - you don't realize how many you have, and it's easier to just forget about books you have but haven't read. i keep all of my unread books on a three-tiered utility cart; if that fills up, i know it's time to go on a book buying ban until i've cleared up at LEAST one tier.

I love having all my read and unread books together! What I do is the unread ones i pull out about an inch or so. So I can still see how many I haven’t read but it’s also complete series together!

I saw The Memory Police on the first unread shelf. It is one of my favorite reads this year so you should absolutely try it soon!

Suggestion: On the unread shelves, maybe turn the books you do read so they’re stacked horizontal? And keep the unread vertical? 😊 doesn’t look obvious but you’ll know which ones you’ve read or not visually

Also - I spy some of my absolute favorite books on your unread shelves so you definitely have some great reads coming up!! The Legend series and Warcross are amazing if you need something fast. Black Sun and Children of Blood and Bone are some of my favorite first books in series ever

For your unread books, once you've read them you can put them on a top or bottom shelf in your unread bookcases and when you unhaul you can put them into your read book cases accordingly. In other words make it future Mel's problem 😂

You have to read both of Erin Morgensterns books. Reading her works seriously changed my life. Especially The Starless Sea- it's the perfect book for a person that loves reading, stories and books. Her writing style is so whimsicle and poetic and I can't wait to read more from her.

The unread tj Klune are so good I cried so hard during in the lives of puppets! A marvelous light I read for the first time last year and reread it already 4 times! The whole series is amazing

OMGGGG I'm literally in the middle of my heaven official's blessing reread. I'm currently in book 4 and I'm loving it even more (I didn't think it was possible). This story is one of my favorites of all time

If you get the chance, I highly recommend Tress of the Emerald sea. This was my first book form Sanderson and I loved it. I would die (not literally) for the special edition you have! I listened to the audiobook, and it was just great 🤗
