Hello! I obviously had not revised my XED for a while. So, question 3a is D not C. Close substitutes have a higher XED coefficient and weak substitutes have a lower XED coefficient. Cheers 😊

sorry on question 3a why did you multiply 19.1 by 0.985

1st of all, this is not an a level paper. This is the 2019 AS component paper. It literally says on the front cover "Introduction to Markets and Market failure". Second of all, the answer on question 3a is wrong. "Close substitutes so close to 0" That is incorrect. The answer is D, because demand is heavily affected in the change of the price of its close substitutes, so it will be more than 1.
