I've been on seroquel since 2016, I honestly had no idea people are abusing it. Seroquel has literally saved my life.

As a drug addict most of my life the reason seriquil abuse occurs is for over sleeping .
To sleep and numb your trauma or life away.

I'm on 800mg of Seroqel for my mania episodes. It is horrible. Just terrible. I can barely type right now. Why on gods name would anyone do this for fun. 😞

I've been taking seroquel for 12 years as a sleep aid, idk why my Dr gave me that for sleep but now I've been on it for so long I can't get off. If I miss a dose I get violently ill. But I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would abuse it. I've never got any kind of feeling off of it other than it makes me hungry a few hours after taking it.

I am on serequel from 3 years, I am I'm depression sometimes I over dose it, it had gained my weight, my apptite to doboule, usually I take the medicine at 8 :30 but, in certain conditions wheh I take it late it panics me, I desperately want to leave this medicine but there is no alternative.... I don't know why anyone would willingly take Seroquel, it's terrible

I am also a seroquel user since 2010. I try to keep my dose as low as possible because it doesn't feel good. So i also don't understand why someone would take that just for fun. It doesn't make you high, it doesn't feel addictive and the higher the dose the more side effects you get like a weird feeling in your legs. It doesn't have any recreational properties at all. I also know a lot of other patients who took it in the past and most of them can't stand the effects of it. Most patients hate that stuff, only patients like me who experience a possitive effect on their symptoms are willing to take it.

I'm on about 100mg of quetiapine for sleep aid..but lately I been using it with a small amount of Marijuana before bed. I seem to get the best sleep that way, but now that I'm hearing it's dangerous, I may have to rethink that

ive taken seroquel before. i dont remember the dose but its high. im schizoaffected.. it lchanged my blood pressure to the point of me feeling sick from it. i went off it. i have went from atypical to atypical

Years ago in 2018, my sister overdosed on this. I was once prescribed seroquel, the akathisia was so bad I had to stop. I never returned it to the pharmacy. She was stealing them from my drawers and I never noticed. She had to get her stomach pumped. People, lock down your meds if you have kids or teens.

It's wild that many of the meds I've been prescribed get abused. I might be lucky in not having an addictive personality. I stopped Ritalin quite suddenly (and let my doctor know) as it was causing anxiety and no real withdrawl symtomps even after months of taking it daily (I'm switching back to Concerta now). I guess Seroquel did make me especially relaxed when I first took it but idk you just fall asleep and feel weird and a bit confused, doesn't sound like a high or a buzz to me. I'd like to come off Seroquel within the next year but have to get panic anxiety under control first.

When I was in rehab and unable to get anything else that would HELP me, I absolutely loved Seroquel. It helped me sleep so good. But now that I'm out I asked my doctor for it again and now for some reason or another I don't like it like that anymore. What happened? I used to like it.
