It’s Just a foundation base with pigment In a little Boba ball type thing that pops when you mix it in

There’s a bunch of small pigment beads in the makeup & as you rub it you burst those pigment beads & the color starts to show. That’s why you might’ve felt a little grit at first as you rubbed it with your hands.
