I've washed a couple Cybertrucks now. The key is a squeegee to dry off the panels

I haven’t washed mine in weeks either. The last time I washed it, I just rinsed it, washed it rinsed again and towel dried it. It’s stainless steel and I’m not concerned at all about it looking like a beauty queen.

And, the whole rust issue is comical, the stainless steel silverware I’ve had for decades has never rusted.

Hello Jesse, next time you wash anything with a garden hose, start at the top and work down. That way you only need to do it once. Cheers

Touch less carwash protects clearcoat; Give that truck a scrub, Tryout a regular carwash w/ the spinning brushes.

Q: What do you call a carwash that doesn't do any scrubbing?
A: I am not sure, but I don't think it should be called a carwash! Maybe a carsquirt?

Couldn't you find a carwash that does actual scrubbing? I have never seen a "squirt only" vehicle maintenance station like you showed!

The stringy thingy's from the Oak trees are Catkins. They disburse the pollen to the flower of the oak tree that becomes the acorn.

So much hype both sides on this truck, good to see some genuine facts.

"Not much of a soap guy" is funny. Just a little dish detergent in a bucket of water works fine, but you would probably need something to stand on to reach the middle of the top. Don't rub the dirt without soap because it will scratch the surface.

If there's ONE car I would gladly take to car wash with brushes, it's a CT. Brushless is nice for paint.. but something that'll scrub with brushes, is exactly what I'd want for the Stainless. Definitely still deserves a quick towel dry.

Yeah. Wanna see a drive through carwash with brushes please.

Thanks Zac and Jesse. I imagine a soft cloth car wash would work better if you have any of those around. Funny that our friends at Out of Spec (Detailing with Coulton) finds that simple Windex is great shining things up and Bartender's Friend gets out stains really well for those special occasions. I'm happy for people to let their Cybertruck age gracefully and get its natural Patina over time too. It's a wonderful piece of engineering. PS Hope you'll be able snow plow with it in the winter too. Lotsa love to all ❤❤❤

Yesterday, I saw my first Cybertruck parked. Previously, I only saw two of them driving the opposite direction as myself on the freeway, so it was a split-second. But man, I couldn't help but be completely excited and geeking out. I took a ton of pics of some dudes cybertruck. Pretty sure he filmed me on Sentry mode. So cool!
The car wash you chose didn't have any scrubbers. I've never seen a car wash that didn't use scrubbing rollers. I bet if you ran it through a normal scrubbing car wash, it would do a much better cleaning job.

Hey, I’m not a pro car washer, but if you rinsing - you usually start from top and let the bottom (most dirty parts) soaking in rinsing water 1:42

I off road constantly, going surfing and for my non-profit, Clean the Pacific. There's just no way I'm going to clean my truck, knowing that tomorrow it's going to be covered in dirt again. This will be my only vehicle, so if I need to go some place fancy, (slim chance) I'll wash it then. People are talking about Bar Keeper's Friend, but ZUD is the ultimate cleaner, for everything. I have no doubt that it will make the truck look brand new after years of not washing. Also, if you're someone who loves to have a perfectly shiny clean truck all the time, first thing when you get it, wax it with something, like Nu Finish, two coats. Then it will stay shiny longer. Mineral deposits from rain will accumulate on any surface.

Dirt on a car, doesn’t matter what kind, make or model, requires some sort of soap and elbow grease…that’s a given.
I’m like you Jesse, I don’t mind the “10’ away clean look”.
Here’s a question for you though…why does “stainless steel” show stains the most? Our fridge is the same way…lol!
One last thing…if you can afford a Cybertruck why can’t you afford a decent spray nozzle or water gasket??? 🤣🤣🤣 That hose was leaking like crazy!
Fun to see you guys again after such a long absence. Cheers, John

14:11 An owner of a local car wash / detailing service who hand washed my Model Y told me to avoid touchless car washes as they use very corrosive chemicals in that process.

Also, he pointed out orange colored specs on my white paint that he said came from iron dust off of my brakes. If I was going to have the car professionally ceramic coated that I should have the paint de-ironized.

I didn't see if the top frunk seal held from water ingress. There was another youtuber that had major leakage from water and washer fluid getting in behind the frunk cover on the left hand side. I hope that all the bugs will be fixed and improved by the time my CT is made.
