Jeannie C. Riley performs her Grammy winning big 1968 hit 'Harper Valley P.T.A.', with an introduction from comedian Flip Wilson. Won the Grammy Award for Best Country & Western Vocal.

This was her one big hit. First hit song written by Tom T. Hall, based on a true story of a woman he knew growing up. Had the then biggest chart leap in American history, going from #81 to #7 in one week, and topped both the Pop and Country charts in America. Plus, ends with the King Family appearance, introducing the next song. On the 1968 Grammy Awards Show, NBC TV USA May 1969.

Pretty amazing stuff throughout this Grammy Awards I just found. 720p picture and special mix. Extra work restoring the audio, harder to make, not sure it's been uploaded in this form before, hopefully this is first version as a clip.

Why did they shorten the song? It ruined it.
