PS Vita LCD/Display replacement + full teardown

Its funny considering the Vita is over 10 years old and there isn't really any videos/tutorials on how to remove the LCD display (for the 2000 model).

Thought i'd do my part for the community and share this one, incase anyone wants to do a shell swap a Vita 2000 this will give them a little bit of a guide on what to expect.

I did completed this job not to long ago with aliexpress screen. Only issue is screw holes are not threaded and also I find that once you peel off the l and r button pads they lose adhesive overtime. Luckily there's all kinds of parts available now. That sense is kinda security for me doing this job.

Hello! Great video. I did have a question. Is it normal for new/replacement screens to come without the Slim Power Button and Flex Cable (I think its called)? This is my first time doing any kind of teardown so I did not realize until I was well into putting all the components into my screen that it was missing.

Thanks for your prior answer. Fastest reply, ever. Is it possible to test your screen, attached to the motherboard, before reassembling the entire device? I've noticed all screen replacement videos test the screen, only after the entire device is fully reassembled.

I bought a shell from aliexpress and I want to reshell my psv 2000, but I want to keep the screen on the new shell. Would heating it up mess it up? Thanks
