Ron "Rambo" Kim is wrong in his video, How To Aim (FPS Mechanics). He gives a lot of bad advice, which a good FPS coach should not give. Absolute bullshit.

You say that palm grip is bad, but the majority if FPS pros use palm or claw and only a small minority uses fingertip grip. If what you are preaching was true, then professional gamers would be fingertipping their Zaunkoenig on a Skypad or Hien but no uses that shit because it's not applicable to tactical FPS games where you need stability.

Also OMEGALUL at saying that his advice has been 'disproven' over the last twenty years without giving any proof for that. Just look at any major Valorant or CS:GO LAN, use your eyes and see how players have their forearm positioned and which grip they use.

Kovaak's beta males acting like they know better but are hardstuck gold

Rambo every time he misses a shot:

Sorry guys it must've been my testicle posture.
My left nut wasn't positioned correctly for maximum aiming efficiency.

A lot of Ron Rambo Kim's advice is dealing with ergonomics. If you're playing with a low DPI what you're saying has merit. But if you're using a higher DPI you don't need to move all over the place and Kim ends up being correct. Also, Kim says there are many ways to play and he never says, "Only do it one way" as you falsely suggest. It's a really shitty thing to trash a guy with a proven track record in the industry when you are who? You're the guy in the stands trashing the pro-player on the court.

I feel like he's right about maintaing a constant posture to build the muscle memory, it helped me a lot my consistency ever since I started to aim train

Rambo has developed a certain and clear way to mastering the basics of aiming in all its forms. If you like his methods, then great. If not, then you can simply adjust whatever is needed to your liking and whatever you feel would be a development in your playstyle. That is the ultimate goal after all. People who learn from rambo do not and can not become rambo, but using the techniques rambo provides in order to fill in the gaps in ones aim which would lead to a certain playstyle because not everybody plays a game a certain way. If you for some reason feel that he is not accounting for certain points or that you do not agree with his technique, it does not make him wrong simply because there are many ways to the top of the mountain but the theory is always the same you know?

Rambo himself said that you should experiment with various positions that can make you feel comfortable.

Rambo was literally on CS1.6’s best team (3D.) Complexity was arguably better, but both teams were crazy good in their time. I’ll take his word for it.

ive never heard Ron Rambo suggest any of the advice he gives is absolute & after 30 years of fps gaming ive never seen anyone prove there is one setup to rule them all, after trying almost everything, the advice i can give is to base your setup around your natural limitations of movement & make sure you feel comfortable, if you are sore after long sessions youre doing it wrong

I agree with your points, though. I think pivoting with your whole arm with games like quake can be a problem if your table has a surface that can cause friction. However, arm aimers tend to be more consistent and have better control of their motions than wrist aimers.

search for d0cc handcam and look at his video on how he holds his mouse. "palm grip will hurt you in the long run" just not true. he has played on all ranges of sensitivity and dominated on all of them.

I must say, the thing you mentioned about vertical aim is true. I also like you pointing out that Ron Rambo kim's aiming style isn't bad, it's just preferable on cs

I feel it’s new school versus old school. New generation grew up with different tools and activities etc. I feel the fringes are very important and the palm restricts your fine adjustments.

I disagree with Fingertip grip vs Palm grip. Both have its advantages and disadvantages, its a trade off. You can not say one is better. From my experience I feel with Fingertip grip better in Kovaaks, it gives me more freedom and it feels also comfortable. But in Valorant I feel in my flicks less stable. I played Fingertip grip for about at least 2-3 years. I felt like something is wrong when I compared to Claw and Palm grip. Now I am trying a mix between Palm and Claw grip. It gives me waaaay more stability. For sure I lack the freedom from the fingertip grip and my horizontal adjustments are less precise. Long story short: Palm grip provides stability which gives consistency. Probably with Fingertip grip you can reach the same but its way harder to be stable with Fingertip grip.

the wrist thing is true lots of players do that, and the povit arm you were talking about depends and how you hold your mouse as well if you have a palm girp you litterly can't move up and down BUT if you have a fingertip its rly easy

The fingers are the most important to me. You posture, desk&chair height are crucial. Just sun’s bro. I’m brand new to mnk. Been a hardcore controller player. Got to have the mouse out of the palm to make those win or lose movements. I’ll be watching your videos. Been watching Rambo’s for a week or so. I always take all the info I can collect. Process it and adjust to me my play and body.

maybe its the size of my hand but i feel like this fingertip brip isnt ideal with the shape of the gpxs. It starts to curve and get harder to click the lower you get on the mouse. I wish they made the same one with less of an aggressive bump, shorter and a lighter switch.
