Ahh, I hate finding bones like that! You just never know what it may be. I have a good friend that was working on a local dam, and had to boat around the edges. She pulled up to the shore next to the dam, jumped out to tie off, and stepped right into the chest cavity of a seriously decayed corpse! It was submerged in the mud just an inch or two from the surface, so she never saw it coming lol. Said that she felt the ribs crack when she put her foot down. That poor girl was never the same after that :(

Can you make a video talking about the times you have found people? And you should do a 30+ minute video of a metal detecting trip Unedited..

Beau Ouimette the deer most likely died of blue tongue, which I am pretty sure I heard that they go to water or close to water and die because that's the only explanation for all the dead deer being that close to each other and being right beside a water source makes it sound like they died of blue tongue rather than being killed from a predator or hunter

Nice collection, Bones.

"Dammit, Jim, I'm a metal detector, not an undertaker!"

Beau,
In Michigan a couple of years ago we had a Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) breakout that killed thousands of deer. The disease caused deer to seek water so consequently I find bone piles like that near water all over my county. I really enjoy your videos, so keep them coming!

Deer are funny creatures, they often run straight for water when shot. I don't know the reasoning behind it but they do. Also as mentioned people dump them in rivers as well, seen that many times in my life as well (mostly poachers just for the back strap). Wish I knew then what I know now I would have offered a few dollars to take the legal ones off their hands. Oh the things I could have done with the hides and bones!  Now this will really interest some of you, where I grew up there was a civil war battle and a river that ran close by that battle. One year a kid fished out a skull with a hole in it and it was discovered to have been from that battle, the bullet was still in the skull! Also someone fished out a saber from the same battle, I sometimes wonder if the skull and saber belonged together.

careful about digging.... you know the grand canyon was caused by an Irishman who dropped a quarter down a gopher hole...

Epizootic hemorrhagic disease (EHD) maybe deer get that and are attracted to water where they will die so u can find a lot of Caracas around waterways and small streams not dangerous to humans just deer

Deer skeletons are really prevalent around here, especially after hunting season.
Where I go prospecting there was a deer jawbone in a log jam, and some hunters had dumped several deer skeletons and an elk skeleton next to a bridge.
The bad think is that during salmon season some of the Indian's dump their dead carcasses by the pickup load up the road from me. Makes the air pretty nasty until the county comes and hauls them off.
I have seen enough dead people in my life not to ever want to see another one; (although I always wonder if I will find one while I am out metal detecting or prospecting..)

Please keep the videos coming. I always look forward to seeing them.

Thank you for the video... We find deer carcasses or skeletons in the wood here close to a remote lake.  They are attacked by coyotes or wolves or bears when they go drinking. Depending how the hair is spread all around you can tell what kind of predator is involved. Bear tend to bury the carcass or keep it in the water.
