Welcome to El Cajon, California

Показать описание
El Cajon was founded in 1912 and has grown from what used to be a rural and agricultural hub into a true melting pot with a large Chaldean population.

It is now the sixth largest city in the county with more than 100,000 residents and stretching 14.4 square miles. But many say it still has its suburban rural roots.

The city is home to the largest of the county airports in San Diego, with more than 215,000 planes flying in or out of Gillespie Field every year.

El Cajon is also known for hosting one of the county's longest-running holiday events, the Mother Goose parade that draws thousands of families to the downtown streets since 1947.

CBS 8 was live from El Cajon all morning on Friday, May 31, 2024, sharing all the things that make this city a special community in San Diego.
