DIY Painting Your Front Door

What a difference a day makes! I painted this black door in 75° weather and now I'm bundled up and freezing in the wind and a balmy 46°.
But that's Idaho spring for ya!

Question for you: If you could paint your front door any color (like if your husband's opinion didn't matter 3), what would you paint it? I love bright colors & would totally do bright pink! (Even though my house is mostly neutrals.🤷🏻‍♀️)

Your door looks great, I went from red to black too. We hired a painter to paint our door as they were doing some interior painting for us as well. Both turned out awful. The black door is chipping already, less than a year. I’m going to do it myself this time. What finish is your black paint?

Did you thin your paint..The paint I got from home depot is very thick and latex like..

No, don't use drop cloths. Just paint the floor the same color. 😂

The primer says, "No need to sand." They mean "no need to sand before the application of the paint, "not before" the application of the primer, lmao, ugh... 😢... nube... 😂😅😂
