Gaston County man accused of poisoning wife with eye drops goes before judge

The Gaston County man said he loved his wife and that he grieved deeply when she passed away. Now, he's accused of poisoning her with something you may find around your home. Joshua Hunsucker went back before a judge on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021.

This reminds me of the Scott Peterson case in California many years ago. He had killed his pregnant wife but then went on national tv proclaiming how much he loved her. Total sociopath.

So my question is if a person were found not guilty after serving two or three years awaiting trial, is there some sort of restitution made to the accused for being unnecessarily imprisoned? Mind you I’m not referring to this case, just curious.

Unfortunately, I have some history (being that I am old) with severely mentally ill people...quite a string of them! And who did do some terrible things! So I may never be able to trust whole heartedly. And old age want be where I can forget the past.
