I haven't had the time to watch the full video, but I'm not sure if he had already mentioned that the icons appear to have been taken from ReactOS, which in turn is an icon theme I think is named "Tango".

Someone on GBATemp created a Windows 7 ISO that is only 42MB in size. It's called Medicat Nano Windows 7.

I absolutely love this ISO. I've never had to actually use it but if I did need a Windows live environment then this would be my go-to. I currently have it on a CD-R and two USB sticks. And to clarify, it's so small because it's not strictly Windows 7, nor is it 'fully functional'. It's based on the Windows 7 preinstallation environment. There's no way an OS the size of actual Windows 7 could be stripped-down enough to fit inside 50Mb. Another thing to note is that is not a 'Vista style' boot screen, but a standard Windows 7 one when no graphics drivers or hardware acceleration is available... something commonly seen in virtual machines for example before Guest Additions (in VirtualBox's case) is installed.

That reminds me of "BartPE" - Bart’s Preinstalled Environment, which was a Windows XP Live System in the early 2000's. There is an article in Wikipedia if you are interested to find out more. Thanks for the video.

The icons being replaced is not just for styling reasons or even at all, but because the default icons in windows 7 are super bloated abominations that would add probably an additional 20MB to the install.

That mini partition tool have been my way to go few years now. Easy and free. Done few VHD to HDD transfers with it.
