As someone raised with music and encouraged to be a musician myself, I did struggle letting go of music when I first tried to hold on to my Deen. Alhamdulillah, after leaving it for Allah, I'm living better than before without it. It may still be a struggle to completely quit it since it's part of our academic curriculum, but spiritually, I'm just over it. Subhanallah. May Allah Bless every soul that leaves music for good.

I noticed that when listening to music, feeling of sadness, heartbroken, fake extra motivation comes. But when I listen to the Quran & motivational speeches none of these emotions come at all. Also not to forget the bad deeds you get when you listening
