brother, thats wrong information .
for your partner, if you have occupation in sol list and assesssment of that degree plus 6 in each score .
then you get 10 points if your partner only has 6 in each and no degree assesed, you only get 5 points .
basically you cant claim 15 points .
either you can have 10 or 5 points respectively.

I think maximum points that one can get from the partner is 10 point and not 15. I would highly recommend to be clear about the rules. Could I get the reference for the information you shared please to clear my doubts

“Awarding five points to primary applicants whose spouse or de facto partner has Competent English at the time of invitation but are otherwise ineligible for spouse or de facto partner skills points will incentivise secondary applicants to acquire Competent English prior to migration. The additional points will raise the overall English proficiency of secondary skilled migrants and improve their economic outcomes.
The additional points for single applicants will ensure a single person with identical skills to a primary applicant who has a skilled spouse or de facto partner will not be displaced in the points test. This measure is based on a recommendation from Migrant Intake into Australia. The extra points for partners with competent English incentivise couples as a unit to improve their English competency in order to be more competitive in points test rankings. The additional points ensure Australia is able to select the best and brightest skilled migrants for its valuable migration places – single or partnered.”

Currently spouse needs to be in the same category of primary applicant nominated skilled occupation to claim points. The new rule hasnt stated this, does that mean the spouse can have skills assessed in other category. Am an engineer and my spouse is a doctor.
