Jimmy may laugh hysterically when the smallest jokes are told, but that's what a good host does. They build off what they can to make a great show. He laughs hard and makes the guest think they're hilarious so they continue to try. He encourages the guests to talk because the audience is there to see the guest as well as Fallon. To be a good host, you have to have the attitude. Jimmy accomplishes that.
