In this video tutorial, we will walk you through the process of creating a local Modbus TCP server using ModSim software and reading the holding register value of the Modbus TCP server using Modscan software. Modbus TCP is a communication protocol used for transmitting data between devices over a TCP/IP network.

To create a Modbus TCP server, we will use ModSim software, which is a Modbus simulator that allows us to create virtual Modbus devices. We will demonstrate how to create a Modbus TCP server and set up the holding register values.

Once we have created the Modbus TCP server, we will use Modscan software to read the holding register value. Modscan is a Modbus scanner that allows us to read and write Modbus data. We will show you how to connect Modscan to the Modbus TCP server, and how to read the holding register value.

By the end of this tutorial, you will have a good understanding of how to create a Modbus TCP server using ModSim software and how to read the holding register value using Modscan software.

isn't Modscan used in MB RTU as Master and ModSim as Slave ? so Modscan should be Server & ModSim as Client !
