Apologies for the weird cut there at the beginning...youtube cut out the music at the beginning of the original video because of copyright issues which means it also cut off the end of my sentence as the music began.

This is the type of guy that if he taught even your worst or most hated class you would actually find it fun and actually try and pass with an A

I think Alternate History is a really fun topic to think about, the effects of a single war's outcome is unprecedented.

Speaking of Hoi4 (Heart's of Iron 4) and if Germany won WW1, there's a mod called "Kaiserreich", it's a world if Germany won the Great War. Easily one of the best mods for Hoi4, you should check it out if you haven't already.

Werner von Braun didn't flee Germany though, he played a large part in developing the V-rockets. He was recruited by the US via Operation Paper Clip after the war.

France never really had a strong right wing movement during that time. The closest it had to what we could call a "far-right" would be the monarchist movement. In France they did have a huge far left movement, not necessarily communist, but close to it. In this scenario its very likely France would become the new "home of the revolution" for left wing ideology. Much like Russia did in our timeline.

"We have near 50k subscribers now" Nah one month later? you're near 75k, congrats man, knowledge, wisdom, positivity, and being a nice person that's you 100%. You're passionate about history, and here on YouTube, you have the opportunity to share your passion with people that wants to listen and share with you. Being a teacher at school is very difficult because some of the students don't want to be there, and eventually, you don't want to be there either right. I remember at 15 years old, I didn't want to listen to my history teacher, I was not there yet in my life, so rediscovering history on your channel as an adult now is fantastic. Thank you very much for your amazing energy and sharing your passion

What if scenarios are always interesting but with a lot of small left/right turns to make them unpredictable. Gives you a lot of branches to possible outcomes.
Great reaction as always 👍

the part at the start where you wonder why the germans focused on sub-building rather than assault the RN can be answered quite simply.

they did.

the issue was that the sum total of the High Seas Fleet was only about 100 ships of all types.

take the battle of Jutland for example. the germans had 16 battleships (22 counting pre-dreadnought) and 5 battlecruisers....whereas the grand fleet had 28 battleships and 9 battlecruisers. there was no way the Germans would win a direct engagement like that

If you're still looking for the next extra history series to check out I'd suggest the great northern war. It's not the most historically accurate series they've done but it's one of those weird times when two people who would be considered "the great" actually clash. Almost as if someone said "what if Fredrik the great fought Napoleon" kinda scenario.
