Brush fires have erupted in Long Island and near Brooklyn as strong winds in New York have made for an elevated risk of fire spread Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. NBC News’ Maya Eaglin has the latest.

"Brush fires erupt due to strong winds" NO ! A human started the fires and was accelerated by the wind. It's the same as Ice/Snow on the road caused vehicle accidents instead of stupid drivers
