The libretto is just so juicy for both Scarpia and Tosca🥰 As for Montsy, I love the earthiness she brings to Tosca. That subito pianissimo in one breath is the stuff of legend!

My God, did Caballe ever take a breath?! She just rides the wave. I only saw her in the theater a few times; once as Adriana Lecouvreur, which she sang like a goddess; and another time in a concert of Wagner, which was good but didn't really show her real glories.
