A complete sound system that you can carry together with your instrument: introducing the MAUI 28 G2. The two column elements in the padded shoulder bag, the subwoofer in one hand and the guitar or keyboard in the other - and off you go! Setting up the complete system, which doubles as PA and monitor system is just as easy thanks to the special multi-pin cable plugs. The compact and elegant MAUI 28 G2 offers an unbeatable sound quality and wide-ranging sound distribution. It was developed with year-long experience in the design of the column systems as a user-friendly solution for medium sized gigs and fixed installations.

The MAUI 28 G2 is equipped with two 8" woofers, sixteen 3" full-range speakers and two 1" neodymium HF drivers. They are driven by a light Class-D power amplifier with an enormous 2,000 watts peak power and produce a grunty bass, balanced mids and precise and silky highs. The DynX® DSP technology from LD Systems provides a top-class performance every time and the highest level of freedom from distortion. It includes a multiband limiter which protects against overloading, an EQ, a compressor and a 3-way crossover with run time correction.

The design of the MAUI 28 G2 line array achieves a longer range, increased resistance to feedback and a wider space coverage, which makes separate monitor speakers superfluous. The wave guide of the tweeters has been developed using the Boundary Element Method (BEM), a numerical simulation of the sound radiation and dispersion. It reduces reflections from the floor and ceiling and prevents sidelobe levels and thus achieves an homogeneous dispersion - Your audience hears you in the back row just as clearly as in the front.

With the integrated 4-channel mixer, system presets for mono or stereo configuration and Bluetooth® Audio Streaming, you have full control over the system. Whether you are a singer-songwriter, solo entertainer, DJ or musician in a small band, you will be thrilled with the extraordinary sound and portability of the MAUI 28 G2. The column and the subwoofer can be set up separately: thus, the system is extremely flexible and is also an excellent choice for fixed installations. With a selection of clever transport accessories and special mounting hardware, the MAUI 28 G2 is a well thought out overall solution, down to the last details.

I compared these against 3 other similar leading brand systems in a shop. I really like the overall warmth and definition of sound. The other systems sounded bright. Which at first you may think sound better. However this became audibly fatiguing and would be to an audience over time. Hence my preference to LD Maui.

2 other fellow musicians have recently purchased these systems. I’ve heard them perform with them in venues with fantastic sound. I even got to mix on them. B E A utiful! Twice as powerful as my Bose L1 Model 2 & B2 sub and 1/2 the price. In addition as per Bose specs. The L1 frequency response peaks at 14khz! LD full 20k experience. Lovely!

My advice after running a mono column for years, purchase as a pair. We have two ears and therefore should be listening from two different sources otherwise it doesn’t sound as good.

Once again fantastic product. Wish I owned a pair. Hopefully I get to upgrade to them in 2020.

I love Bose but every time I refresh the specs page the frequency response gets lower. Some would argue most people can’t hear above 15-16 k ish anyway. It doesn’t matter there artefacts in the instruments overtones above the fundamental frequency which extend beyond our hearing. We may not hear it perfectly clear, without those frequencies it doesn’t sound right.

For pubs etc when just outputting vocals. Do you still need a pair like trad PAs?

How doze it stack up to the HK polar 10 as the ld has 16 inch speaker's and 2 drive tweeters and 2 8 inch subs. As HK only 6 speakers and one sub

This looks great for conferences, as it stands, but it stops just a bit short of being an all in one package for musicians. I can see that a separate mixer is really needed for microphones. I'm guessing that two of these and a mixer would be ideaI, but it's an expensive solution and maybe time consuming to set up, and I'd be a little bit concerned about the stage plan, since the sound shoots out at funny angles, if I understand correctly. I'll bet the basic sound is great though, and that feedback can be avoided entirely with a bit of careful planning - this despite placing the speakers at the back. I suppose those mic inputs double as jack line inputs (good for keyboards and mixers) or the tiny mp3 input can be used.

Can you add an external mixer to the system? For more instument options? If that's the case where do you connect it to the system?

Definitely a good and well thought out product.. But what about a base/low frequency extension ..? As an entertainer/"on the road", you quickly find yourself in a situation where two 8 " simply is not enough..

Can I link up a Maui 28g2 to a Maui 44. In stereo??

Is this true stereo, left and right out of separate speakers, or is it summed?
